ADAM FINCH

BIOGRAPHY

Adam Finch is a British videographer and photographer committed to supporting good causes through authentic and hopeful storytelling. Stories that raise awareness, unite us and inspire a kinder, greener, more inclusive future for humanity.

His work on marketing and fundraising campaigns for non-profit organisations such as C40 Cities, Christian Aid, and Scope, has driven social impact for climate change solutions in Barcelona, maternal health facilities in Sierra Leone, peace building in the Occupied Territory of Palestine, and inclusion for disabled children in the United Kingdom, amongst others.

Most recently, Adam has worked with Girlguiding to produce digital content for their volunteer recruitment campaign and annual Girls Attitudes Survey, to raise awareness of the issues that matter to girls and young women. In 2022, Adam was commissioned by the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office to document the UK Government’s humanitarian assistance for Ukrainian refugees in Moldova, Poland and Romania.

Previously, he worked with Root Capital to document their Women in Agriculture Initiative, promoting access to finance for women-led agribusinesses in Guatemala and Rwanda; and with the Zoological Society of London, to shine a light on their primate conservation and anti-poaching work in Cameroon, which was published by National Geographic and exhibited at the Fujifilm House of Photography.

Other notable publications include his photographic collection of endangered animals in the snow for the Zoological Society of London, which trended on Twitter and featured in media such as BBC News and the Guardian, and his video series for Comic Relief, which helped raise over $1 million to fund mental health and well-being projects for young people.

Adam, also worked on a number of fundraising appeals for international development charity Christian Aid, to help combat some of the root causes of poverty in Kenya, Lebanon and Nicaragua. His photography featured in digital marketing and out of home advertising across the United Kingdom, including their coronavirus appeal, which won Inside Out’s Coronavirus Response Award.

Adam graduated in Television Production from Bournemouth University. His documentary, Models of Diversity, received a commendation at the AFO International Festival of Science Documentary Films in the Czech Republic and was broadcast on UK television by SKY.

Adam is passionate about combining anthropology - our understanding of human behaviour, our planet and the diverse cultures that shape it - with social impact film making, to learn about ourselves and others, connect with different perspectives, and ultimately build empathy, understanding and harmony across communities.
